Welcome to the Long Valley Dam near Bishop California and Lake Crowley. This
image is made of 6 RASCAL passes flow side by side to increase the instrument
scan width. By sewing these 6 passes together, a digital elevation model
was created containing 3 million samples over this area (approximately
1km x 3km). You'll notice in the image that you can clearly see trees in
the lower left of the image as well as a main road. On the dam itself there
are access "trails", and some interesting topography in the river bed
behind the dam.
Compare the image below with an actual photo
from that dam.
